Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), a white, stable, non-toxic, water-soluble polymer, is produced through the polymerization and hydrolysis of vinyl acetate. It exists in powder, flake, or flocculent forms. In the dry powder construction materials sector, PVA1788 and PVA2488 powders are the most commonly used.

Polypropylene short fiber

Polypropylene short fiber, a synthetic fiber derived from polypropylene, exhibits chemical resistance, heat resistance, hydrophobicity, and moisture-wicking properties. With a density of 0.91g/cm³ (the lightest among the five major synthetic fibers), it has a standard moisture regain rate approaching zero and thermal insulation efficiency reaching 36.49% (1.7 times that of polyester). When hydrophilically modified, this fiber can be uniformly dispersed in concrete to enhance crack resistance, water resistance, and impact strength, thereby extending the service life of engineering structures.
